This torch is very versatile, from the lowest output which is safe for camping and reading stuff in pitch black darkness without burning your retinas off, to light output you can feel when set to max brightness.
It is a shame that a battery is not included, although if you happen to have a battery bank with dead electronics but good batteries, you should be able to use them (as I did).
Each battery lasts for ages when charged.
Overall nice flashlight. Just wish the setting for low power would stay when you turn the light off then on and not have to cycle through the modes. Also the side switch doesn't seem to do anything.
This was not a good buy for me. Lumintop's quality control seems to be slipping quite a bit. I now have had several Lumintop flashlight that have fallen short on the quality and performance scale. On this particular light, the first time battery needed to be recharged, the light uses a nice USB built in indicator which is suppose to glow red untill fully charged then turn green.. On my light this charge function never worked. And the battery would never charge using the built in USB port. I had to take out the battery and manually charge the battery. To me this was a game changer in wanting to keep this light. Lumintop is loosing my business.
I received mine a couple months ago, and have used it since then almost constantly while rummaging for a tool in the office late at night. Only just now is the battery starting to show signs of needing a recharge. The light output is uniform, and bright as all hell and will easily flood an entire room with light and possibly blind a home invader long enough to take action. Would highly recommend for the price point compared to the quality you are getting in the flashlight and additional parts & accessories included.
The light is great other than it will not charge when plugged in. I had to buy a battery charger to make it work. It's sold without warranty so there you go. The instruction manual had some stains on it like it was used before I got it.
SpnashMine won't charge either, sending back. Lumintop is loosing my business. And especially with not having any type of warranty, or guarantee. Not good Massdrop and Lumintop... Just good.
