A flashlight that dazzles in more ways than one, the Lumintop Elfin is a sight to behold not only due to it’s anodized rainbow look, but because of its output as well. It features four different modes, starting with the 520-lumen high mode, and cycling all the way down to 0.5 lumens on moonlight mode Read More
For what it's worth, I own one of these and it stopped working after a day in my pocket. 1 day.
I know, I know, sample size of one, but I did want to let other massdroppers know.
I've reached out to Lumintop and we'll see how they handle it. My guess is I'm stuck with a bum light.
This what I get from trying to supplant my trusty zebralight...going on 3.5 years of EDC and no probems.
robiconLumintop shipped out a replacement Elfin after sending them pictures.
Can't complain about the customer service. They were very responsive.
Let's see how the replacement does.
Gert_fischerI doubt it. If you scroll down to the video review in this thread it literally says from gearbest. With 7-10 day expedited shipping to the US it's $27.79 from them. This is $35.74 and doesn't ship until May 7th.
I have been looking for a single CR123 light and had about decided to get my 6th Fenix and the E15. I actually like the looks of this one and especially the tail switch and would have bought it if it had been a legitimate deal. Cool little light though.
Is the coloring pretty permanent, or is it prone to scratching off?
BTW, is this the same flashlight as the "torpedo", but just with a different finish?
When did Massdrop get so full of whiny little twats with nothing to do except piss and moan about products they don’t approve of? Jesus Christ people...
Just got mine. It's a great replacement for my Foursevens Preon, which would turn on in my bag without my knowing. Also appreciate the CR123 battery, which won't explode like AAs or AAAs in other flashlights I've used.
