While it is plenty bright, there were times when I really did need a brighter light I ended up struggling a little bit. Very light, though, and doesn't look like a spaceship or a weapon.
The way its switches between brightness can be a little irritating, too. I wish there were just a switch on the side or something to select a setting instead of needing to switch to your preferred setting every time you turned it on.
This is a nice penlight, though not perfect. Where I find myself taking this light is in two scenarios: when I am going on my evening walk and it is close to twilight, so I might encounter darkness or spots I might wanna illuminate, and dayhikes, where I pack extra batteries this size anyway. I feel like this would last in an emergency situation. It has been reliable, durable, and easy on batteries so far. It doesn't have a memory for settings, so it goes back to default. Instead it is reliable and simple, which I would trust more in an emergency. It would work in a less-rugged situation, like say in a spare jacket when going out, as the slim profile is easy to pack, and it is about the length of a standard pen. Not perfect, but really good in the situations that play to its strengths. It is well made, and good at certain things, which is why I give it 4-4.5 stars
After months of waiting I finally receive a completely DOA light never turned on at all still waiting for Drop support to arrange a refund and have yet to hear from them, typical !!!
Save your money and Stay far away from this Chineses Junk does not even deserve one star
I bought it because it had a "NICHIA 219BT LED". The packaging says Nichia 219CT LED. Although I don't know what the difference is, this seemed like the kind of place that would note details like that better. So I could have bought it somewhere else at a better price and with significantly faster shipping. In any case, this is a nice light. I prefer this lights warmer tint compared to common LED flashlights. It also has mode memory, a very low low mode, and is smaller than other penlights I've had.
best part about this flashlight is the click!
as a flashlight it functions pretty well. it is long, slim and light, so easy to use and very pocketable. pocket clip is ok, but might be a bit loose on thinner pants (it slipped out of my pocket once and i lost it under my car's seat for a few months)
great pen light. the low light setting works really well for being just bright enough to see what your doing without having a really bright beam of light.
Solid little light, small in size but with enough light to function as an edc. Half a twist of the bezel when your done using it to prevent accidental battery drain, is a recommendation. Cheap and reliable so far.
