It has effectively replaced my old tried-and-true SureFire 6P (which I have continually upgraded over the course of 20-odd years) as my EDC hand torch. It's not much larger, and about 30 times brighter! I just have to carry different spare batteries, but 26650s are rechargeable and last a good while...
Had a small hiccough where my wife put the battery in backward on the first one I'd bought - a quick email exchange with the manufacturer didn't result in a new torch (I didn't expect it to,) but it should have resulted in reverse-polarity protection across the board. (They were working on the idea anyhow, I think I just accelerated it.)
