Charge port does nothing. Multiple cables and charging sources tried. Why include the charge port at all when the cover won't stay on? Battery not protected btw.

DalamarLight works ok otherwise? Get in touch with Lumintop and it may be a slight hassle but they will take care of you somehow. I prefer using a regular charger but the charging circuit in mine works great. (edit: also, never tested this in mine but if you're using a protected cell and that protection circuit trips somehow, it needs to be reset with a trickle charge before it will accept normal charging rates. I don't know if the built in circuit in this light is capable of that or not...may rely just on the LVP shutoff to prevent the situation)

StepbystepLumintop never responded to my question before joining drop, their site says RMAs go to China which is not worth it for a $60 product, I would not put any faith in this company nor do I want to be without a long range light for 1-2 months during a season warm enough to shoot stuff at night. It's ultimately not a dealbreaker as I can just charge the batteries at home or buy even more spares rather than charge from the bank I bring for phone, but it does show they have **** QC and likely a garbage warranty process.

DalamarReach out to them, they may take care of you just by sending a head or perhaps an exchange via amazon without needing to send it back to China. They have a limited US onshore presence but generally seem to take care of people even if they do the rigamaroo of asking for video and such. I think Lumintop is about average or slightly above when it comes to after-sale service...certainly some are far worse, including some big name brands.

DalamarAnd I suppose you already tried to work with Massdrop? Not sure what they're doing with these warrantywise.

DalamarI didn't have that problem dude . Also I don't see it as a reason to give a product 1 star , at worse I'd put some electrical tape over the socket if I was really worried about it..

UriA company that is literally not even contactable deserves a 1 star for shipping out a light that was clearly not fully tested at the factory. The light itself is nice though.
