Ok this will be my 1st experience with a 18650 battery. So I need to buy a recharger besides my Eneloop. Looking at Nitecore either I2 or the SC2. Is there an advantage with the 3A on the SC2? And what is an IMR battery??

briancutlerYou will probably need a rechargeable battery as well, the one that comes with it is not rechargeable.

ryno101Thanks for the heads up. I thought all lithiums 18650 were rechargable. What recharger do you use?

briancutlerThe one that comes in this drop is rechargeable. I was part of the last drop and this is the one that was included:
https://www.amazon.com/LUMINTOP%C2%AE-Rechargeable-Battery-3400mAh-Protection/dp/B01DP5J6TC/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1470138616&sr=8-5&keywords=lumintop+battery
As for the charger I have only ever used the D2/D4 with no problems. It does take 3-4 hours to fully charge a larger 18650 though.

AceGoliathThanks Ace on both accounts. Battery is rechargeable and I also like the D2 because of all the information on the screen.
