I'd snag an OTS out the side magnified one in a second. 110 without the spot focus lense is meh.. Especially at low battery. I put my brass OTF one away once and turned on the cell phone light. Sorry to say. I love my copper maritac OTS style tho the lense makes it amazing in throw. Like a spot light.

kangsterThank you but I know of this since I have two of them. Maybe at full battery on high it rivals smart phone but 50%? 25%? Not even. I can send some pics but they done show up too well. Tried last night with a low battery to demonstrate, but the images weren't clear. It is sorta hard to cycle it to the right level too, that's true. I'm gunna go throw a new battery in and quit complaining.

darkpanaceaI tried the test indoors at close range to show the difference. The Maratac is now using a new cell. I didn't use flash but a separate phone so there's no trickery. Spot light is Maratac. Less spread bright in circle but the throw is better on the Maratac, cellphone has wider cast, (2 year old cellphone). I'd say nearly equal. Better formfactor than a cellphone but probably about the same output. I can do an outdoors test if asked.
