The Luna-25 is yet another clever watch with the astronomical spirit that helped put Sturmanskie on the map. This 44-millimeter timepiece is loaded with functionality, including a chronograph, date window, and tachymeter—and a nice dose of Super-Luminova coating for legibility Read More
If they removed the fake moonscape and around "$100" they might have half a chance. In this category I will stick to the Bulova "luna" watch, probably even cheaper than this one and came out favourably when reviewed against the Omega speedmaster.
R2AWatchesHey Craig, the 6S20/4785406 appears in the pics to have a black dial and blue strap, with maybe a blue bezel? but the videos show an all blue watch, so I'm wondering if it just looks black and is actually blue all over like the video? Looks better in black imo.,..
Glen8It has a blue bezel, blue dial and a blue strap. The blue on the dial and bezel are darker than the strap though. What I would call a "black/blue". The color you catch really depends on how the light hits it. I like the blue myself, but the classical black in the other two styles looks good as well.
Then came the parcel post today, but no stress during these times..
Finally to get the watch.. ahhh :) One is to see pictures and videos, quite another is to see with the "fingers" and I have not been disappointed.
Swiss quality, nice to wear and with a fascinating different movement that seems a bit "hypnotic" here at first...
Like other good new toys : P
middlepathThis error is 100% on us and NOT on Drop. We made this mistake when we listed the watches and Drop repeated the mistake when they used our listings for the information. I didn't catch it when I was looking over the listing. Obviously, we know that the 6S series is from Miyota.
With all the data that comes along with watches we are bound to make some mistakes. I usually make about 20 mistakes before lunch every day.
So, you are correct, it is the Miyota 6S20
I have alerted Drop so this can be changed.
PaxmanRussian movements are often hit or miss for their quality. For more expensive export models, some Russian brands will use Miyota, Seiko or Sellita movements for better performance and longevity, and to make service easy for future owners (no need to send the watch back to Russia or source Russian parts).
A bit like brands from other countries (France, UK, Australia, Canada, etc.) will do...
PaxmanOnce the 31 caliber movement ceased production, the only other options really are Swiss or Chinese. Sturmanskie went with the Japanese because they are very well built and can be serviced. The watch itself is still designed and assembled in Moscow.
This is a cool looking watch and, since many are dressing casually these days, it could be a daily driver. Which is why it’s too bad it doesn’t have a sapphire crystal, especially at this price.
tguy"...since many are dressing casually these days..."
What in god's name does this mean and what possible relevance could it have to the conversation?
Don't think it is an "imitation", just a different way to go - probably not a huge market for fake Russian watches. That being said, would never pay this much for a quartz Shturmanskiye (more realistic transliteration of the Russian Cyrillic). Have a mechanical one that I really enjoy, and didn't pay much more than this price for it.
