Love lupin, but is this game actually good or does it simply wear the dress of a beloved anime?

TaniosI think the BoardGameBrawl Review explains the concept of the game very well. I personally have not yet played the game, but it a lot of game mechanics that I like such as there being a traitor, role cards with unique powers , dice-rolling combat, and equipment cards. The game does a good job thematically so fans of Lupin will appreciate how well the anime is represented through the gameplay. The only slight downside to the game from what I've read is that the rules can be confusing due to translation issues (although they have been revised over the years), so I would recommend looking at the PDFs linked in the product page.

TaniosThe game is very in-line with the thematic elements of Lupin III. Planning the heist, equipping hang gliders, grappling hooks, & decoys while Fujiko (most likely) schemes to turn on everyone while you're about to make a suicide run to your getaway car is very evocative of the madcap hijinks of the beloved series.
