$1300 for a watch that any number of $50-$100 Casio G-Shocks that can do more than it can. Everyone I've run in to in the military, overseas government contracting, and first responder community was always wearing a G-Shock or other cheap, tough watch they wouldn't have a second thought about replacing if it broke. Seriously. I swear, some days in Iraq I thought Casio was outright helping sponsor the damn thing just to sell more watches. While this is a fine looking watch, for $1300 they damn well better straighten out the date as a vertical display instead of slanted so it's at least on par with a $50 Casio Duro. If I was a watchmaker and wanted input on a watch that can handle rough sea conditions, I'm heading to the U.S. Coast Guard for input instead of the Germans because the USCG is responsible for a *lot* more coastline with varying temperature and weather conditions than the Germans. Honestly, has no one seen an episode of "Deadliest Catch"? The Coast Guard regularly works in those conditions. The German Maritime Search and Rescue Service, not so much. Of course the Coast Guard would just tell me "Why? We already have the G-Shock."

It might be my OCD but I don't like to surround myself with useless gimmicks. I could keep explaining it to you but I can't understand it for you.

NonyaThe Casio G-Shock certainly does more and technically speaking is the better ⌚ but that's not the . We may say the same for the Rolex Sea-Dweller or the Omega Planet Ocean, but for this kind of ⌚ we must take in consideration the luxury status... this Mühle Glashütte is not on the same luxury tier than the Rolex or the Omega, but its certainly @ a notably higher status than the Casio.

Ah I didn’t like the sellita the first time and I have yet to be convinced it’s worth it this time just my opinion $1300 I’m not really a guy that’s hard on watches so I would spend this money on a Tudor 1926

ED61Neither I like the Sellita... so the 🐦 regulation & the 1️⃣0️⃣0️⃣0️⃣Ⓜ️💧 resistance should do... I'm not yet convinced but if I'd buy a Mühle Glashütte ⌚ this may be the one 🤔

Since I made that comment, I've got a line on that bronze SAR and hope I get it this time. It has black indices with a luminescent dial like this:

Last time this watch dropped I made some inappropriate comments about it. Now that is't back, I'd like to reiterate them ;- )

Sinn 104, 556, and for a little more 836/856 can be had for similar money from an AD with warranty. Nice watch but if I were to shell out 1.3k I would go for Sinn and maybe stretch it to 836/856 Edit: Sinn also use the top grade Sellitas and most of them have the next level up movement, the S300. In addition they are antimagnetic, shock resistant and some use inert gas in the case and dehydration capsule to prolong movement lifespan without maintenance and have hardened steel case. I would be more tempted by the GH if it were under 1k but this is not likely to happen.

Cosmaracoarehttps://wornandwound.com/review/muhle-glashutte-sar-rescue-timer-review/ Fair points, and the watch is kind of ugly, but I think people ought to k ow that there's quite a bit more to this piece than the specs would indicate.

Cool watch, good price. $20 more for this version on Gemnation, but they also have the bracelet version available for $1,400 which is the one I’d personally pick.

Cuttable strap is an immediate pass for me. It means I either have to cut it right and hope nothing ever changes (I plan on getting fat when I retire) or I have to buy another strap along with the watch.

Nice watch, but.. A legit SAR, field, tactical, dive watch, etc should be packing GTLS. Tritium is the standard fail safe illumination. If you dive, hunt, or do anything at night, you want tritium. If you got the bucks and want a GTLS auto, go Ball or downrev to Marathon. Just saying...

An AD was supposed to hold a limited edition SAR in bronze for me... Special strap, etc. Beautiful. I called back at the specified time with credit card sweat on my shaking hands and "oops" they gave it to someone they thought was me. I will never have that bronze SAR. It hurts to see the regular SAR... Thank you for letting me cry my man-tears; I'll be okay… *sniff*
