I was a bit hesitant when I bought it as I was fully expecting the suction pad to loosen over time/detach on it's own. After I got it, I initially had a few issues with it not staying attached or it coming loose. After taking it off and cleaning the pad as well as the area I attached it to, I have not had any further issues with it coming loose. The below issues are minor overall and more of a nuisance than an actual issue. None of them are dealbreakers IF you can deal with them and adapt to them. Issues: I put my phone in it in landscape mode. to use it as a gps. There is a slight tilt to it that is far more noticeable when I have it plugged in to charge. In colder weather, the release button on the back has enough resistance that it sounds almost like you are breaking it when you press it Also, in colder weather, the arms are VERY slow to "release" the phone. There is no lock on the middle pivot. You can mount it in place and lock the head but the center pivot swings freely. You have some UDLR adjustment ability in the head and you can lock it in position BUT it almost seems like it isn't fully round and there is some "wiggle" in the rotation even after locking it. (this may contribute to the tilt issue above)

I believe my product was a returned product they sent out again since there were rips in the box, so this may be more about a product the company was willing to re-sell, anyways... This is a seriously flaws product. Despite the large adhesive suction pad, it could not stay attached to my dashboard and came loose simply by trying to adjust the direction of the mount. I could not get the mount to face in the direction I wanted because the mount has a + pattern for where you can aim the phone. Finally, the phone mount was not very secure and only supported portrait mode, my phone immediately slid out in landscape mode. I'd try to return it but I can't say it's defective, just terrible.

On my 1994 Chevy Blazer K15 it is the only mount I have found that can attach sideways on the side of the big control box that sits just to the right of my steering wheel and to the left of my aftermarket radio. When using the little leg on it I can use my phone while driving and it barely moves. If I adjust it for the passenger to do something its not nearly as steady. Adjusting it in general is much harder than one might hope. It works great for my use case of holding my phone still in a odd place but if you want to adjust your phones position on the fly this is not the mount for you. tl;dr: If you want to mount your phone steady in an odd position than this works wonderfully if it fits where you want it. If you want to on the fly adjust the phone or swivel it into different position than this is not something you want. Its bulky, awkward to adjust, and not steady without using the arm.

I am extremely pleased by this product. I put it on my dashboard and have been able to keep my cell phone exactly where I want. Easy to use, extremely versatile and well thought out and made. Best mount I've seen anywhere! Wish I could buy another.

I have a cheap LG, like the second cheapest smartphone available on Straight Talk. The whole mount is really sturdy and it holds my phone just fine! The included platform did not work at all (kept falling off, barely any adhesive) but the suction cup sticks very firmly to my dash on its own. Also, I can only have my phone landscape because the arms to hold it portrait block the headphone jack and my car isn't bluetooth enabled, but that is a fault of my phone and not the mount. The levers and such were confusing at first but I mostly figured it out through trial and error. I ended up having to look at the instructions like a normie so I would suggest reading them FIRST :) Would have been about half as fast setting it up if I had. All in all, worth!

The suction is amazing. The phone bracket is not. It is far too loose and wobbles through about 5 deg arc cos the 'tongue and slot' arrangement to mount the thing to the base/strut is inaccurately moulded. This of course can be very very annoying when trying to line things up for a neat appearance. Had I known this I would not have bought it. I may have to fix it by gluing it which is not really the best but likely the only option in my situation.

Works well and stays in place, but needs to hold larger pads.
