So... I apparently got mine yesterday... 2 complaints. First is at Drop. I didn't receive a shipment notification. So I had no idea that I should have been looking for it. 2nd at Machine Era. There is moisture inside the pen. I have to dry it out. The package didn't show any signs of water damage. Other than that, I absolutely love it!

I have no reason to believe this won't take a unibal jetstream refill... is there a better, even-lined smooth writer I should look into?

FYI, I've read you can fit a $5 Fisher Space Pen clip on this. I can't personally confirm though. Does anyone know the diameter of the grip section? Also, does anyone know if this accepts all "G2/Schmidt/Euro Rollerball-style" refills?

To answer my own questions:
  1. The grip diameter is 0.3" or 7.6 mm (for reference the TiScribe-Bolt is 0.375" or 9.5 mm)
  2. The pen accepts all "G2/Schmidt/Euro Rollerball-style" refills.
These were the answers I got directly from Machine Era.

I sure wish Machine Era would offer their Field Pens here. These are really beautiful, compact, and handy bolt-action pens. I’ve got the SS version but would like Brass and Copper ones as well. https://www.machine-era.com/collections/pens/products/field-pen-stainless

Does anyone have any experience using Energel 0.3mm Needle Tip refills? My cave-man smashing the pen against the writing surface technique requires these in order to be legible, and these refills wobble in some pens designed for this style refill in my experience.

Just put in the Energel needle tip refill into mine, you'll have to saw off just a bit to match the length of the G2 cartridge (as I'm sure you'd already know), but surprisingly no tip wobble (unlike with my Tactile Turn Glider).

note: This pen is only available with a 0.7 mm line weight. does it mean I can’t use 0.3,0.5mm refills?

I put a 0.5mm refill in and it worked perfectly.

I love the warm feel of brass, but a friction retained cap will fall off. Last year, Right Choice Painting Company offered a brass pen with screw-on cap retention. I haven't seen Right Choice stuff in awhile, but if you see one of them come up, grab it.

Hi. The cap screws on at both ends so falling off shouldn't be a problem.

Thanks for the correction. Then I'll repeat a strength. Brass gets warm, soft and picks up a nice patina.
