I ordered a pair for me and my wife that arrived yesterday. I would like to see a clip and some knurling on the grip but overall it's a nice pen that has a great size and weight (not too big/small, not too heavy/light). I'd buy them again.

photoman12001That is a delicious looking timekeeper you got there. If I may so inquire, what is it?

sciroIt is a Stührling Bridge: http://www.stuhrling.com/Mens/Legacy/976.02.html The MSRP listed on that site is insane. I don't know where they are getting that. The real street price is about $135. I really like the watch. The only thing I would change is to add a date window. It is an manual winding watch, not automatic, so you must rotate the crown daily to keep it running. I typically wear it 2-3 days a week. It's in a rotation with a couple of Citizens and a Vostok Europe Anchar.

drturkletonKoch Leather: https://kochleather.com/products/horween-leather-sleeve-for-field-notes-or-moleskine-with-pen-knife-card-slot?variant=37308311946
It's my favorite one for Field Notes so far. I bought a couple of Rusticos from this drop and that package arrived a few minutes ago: https://www.massdrop.com/buy/34560 They seem decent but I doubt it will unseat the Koch as my favorite. The price was good on them though.
I also have an Iron and Resin cover but I'm not overly fond of it. The little leather loop for the pen really interferes with your writing hand if you're right-handed.

photoman12001Thanks for the detailed reply, and apologies for the radio silence.
Okay, whew, I saw that MSRP and froze ha, I'm glad to know it is much more affordable. Automatics are handy, but I enjoy winding a watch so I think I'd like that one (or a different Stuhrling) as well. This checks all the boxes for me- 42mm; Krysterna crystal on both sides; leaf hands (although bums that there is no second hand, I love watching it sweep across the dial); and the ability to look at the winding mechanism from the back.
My only question is with the movement. To be honest, I've never heard of Stuhrling before (I'm new to the timepiece game) but I get the impression they are quality movements? How well does the time keep on it? I have a miyota and a citizen and they both tend to gain a few (sometimes even more than 5) minutes every week.
Thanks again for the info, I'll keep Stuhrling in mind next time I'm sporting for a new timepiece. Cheers
