i wonder if, like silly putty, this would get dirty over time.

tompyIt does if you have dirty hands or make contact with a dirty surface when it is in its clear moldable form. That being said, you can add food dye or glitter or whatever else to make a different color. <br /><br />@Joshvar <br />1a. It depends on how much heat you apply and your tolerance to heat, but you can feel/see it getting harder as it becomes more opaque (white), all you need to do is use a heat gun or dip the section you want to manipulate again to get the desired shape.<br />1b. No, you can also let it cool in the air or if you want it to set faster, just throw it in the freezer<br />1c. Yes<br />2. It's a smooth plastic and I've seen examples on Instamorph's website where people have painted masks and figurines. I would imagine any paint that is formulated for plastic would work.<br /><br />@vsg28, yes you just need to apply heat to it again. All our pics where actually taken from the same batch of Magic Plastic Pellets, we put in a bowl of water again and heated it up in the microwave to shape it into something else.
