Mini usb... just why? I don't mind if it was microUSB because it's still quite common but this... wtf.

You guys ever gonna make a USB-C, RGB numpad styled like the CTRL, ALT, DEL keyboards? This mini-USB nonsense is not what I'm looking for, but I'd buy something that looked nice next to my ALT when I needed a numpad and used a modern connector.

That was my thought process as well. One goes out to the computer, the other is available for literally anything. Why not a numpad sometimes? I currently use it with a female USB-A to male USB-C converter to put my wireless mouse in through the other side. I'd be happy moving that to a different port or continuing the chain through a numpad, if that was an option. There's so much that we could do with this, it boggles my mind that they're not making it.

Wait, is that a mini USB connection? What year is this?
Honestly, most people into keyboards prefer Mini B USB. The connection is more sturdy than micro, and unlike Type C, custom cable makers do the vast majority of cables with Mini B. Type C is slowly coming, but Mini B is absolutely the industry standard right now still.

Just got a similar version off Amazon last week and really like it. The one from there came with ABS caps but they were nice. I changed them out for PBT though, added o-rings, and put some batting underneath the PCB to help dampen the plasticy echo sound it makes due to the case design. Now it feels and sounds pretty great. A couple things that made me chose this one over other affordable numpads was choice of switches, detachable USB, and that it remembers the previous LED brightness setting. Also, to help get back in practice with Fusion360 I made and printed a couple different case designs. I ended up sticking with the original because it looked so good with the blue keycaps, but was considering a low profile one with a magnet or something to attach to the side of my desk.

What did you use to dampen the noise? Wanting to dampen my fc660c

Oddly enough, I bought this along with an FC660C last week! Loving it so far. Such a nice keyboard. Silencing a topre board is quite a bit different than a cherry style one. You'd have to use something like HyperSphere or Silence-X rings which involve taking the keyboard completely apart. The r/mk wiki has some good info: https://www.reddit.com/r/MechanicalKeyboards/wiki/modifications_topre Edit: But if anyone is wondering how I dampened the noise on this numpad I just put a couple pieces of a swiffer dusting cloth underneath the PCB and o-rings on the keycaps.

Retractable feet are mentioned a few times. I don't see any in the photos - am I missing something?

Yes. I would bet they copy pasted most of the information from the older model which does have flip down feet and didn't catch that this one doesn't.
