It's not a secret that this will be tremendously delayed, are we free to contact support to cancel and get refunds?

I tried and got this "Since the group's order has already been placed with the vendor, I am unable to cancel your order. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause."
I think they have no other option but to wait for the vendor to ship.
