NolandCIt says clear legends too, so yeah, the description is obviously talking about completely different keycaps. Hm. This really needs to be cleared up.
tasoulis83I would be interested in that as well. It doesn't say anything about it being ANSI only or something like that.
Would be nice to know if this (not the 69 key version) is ISO compatible
So which USB? The pictures are staged to hide what end is on the cable and the socket on the keyboard.
Those are dye-sub key caps. The non MD drops have double shot ABS with transparent legends. The font set on them is very gamer keyboard though.
I really like the lack of logo, but the keys feel claustrophobic compared to an 87 or TKL layout.
Oh and the fn key is in a truly evil location.
Almost had me, but I would have gladly traded some length for a proper bottom row and a FN key on the correct side(left). Also one of the 68 V2 niceties is that the keys are standard, no messing with special sets or having to miss out on key cap sets.
So I'll have to pass I think.
Edit: Dreamy keyboard is MF68v2 BT with F keys. Dump the logo and give back the missing command keys. Would buy 100%, add in hot swap switches and QMK to broaden support/demand if not too punishing to cost.
ardasame. the price point is great; the layout is good, though i'd prefer to fill in some of those top row gaps with keys... but if it had QMK, it wouldn't need dip switches and i'd buy two of them today.
I think it would be nice if Massdrop could include info about keyboards being ANSI / ISO compatible, as I can see other people and me asking these kinds of questions.
Just as a suggestion for future drops.
Normally they say in the description but this one says compatible with Windows and not a mention of macOS. I'm relatively to the scene so I want to 100% sure before buying something that it'll work with my laptop which is macOS and not have to worry about too much configuration to get it to work
thomasbrittonall keyboards work with macs. Typically if it says PC and not mac, it may be referring to software available to do custom key remapping and/or RGB software.
The only thing you may have to do is switch the windows/alt keys to match the typical mac option/command keys (done in settings).
TurtlezThe switches are soldered more than likely, I don't think any of the MF units are native hot swap. Might be compatible with conversion.
100% Bootcamp friendly at a minimum. ;-)
