Some folks have mentioned slight variation in pick profile (shape), and some folks have a preference for one brand or another. Some find a certain manufacture's pick profiles may work better for them.
The steel on various sets can also be different, ie, stiffer, etc. So may give a variation in performance, longevity, and maintenance.
Other than these basic areas of difference, I don't know how the Southourd and Majestic sets stack up against each other. I'm acquiring one of each set to find out.
I know there may be a number of nuances in how a pick's physical characteristics affect feel and performance that new users like me probably cannot yet distinguish. Maybe someone with more experience can comment.
Still, I keep running across glowing reviews of Peterson picks. A lot of effusive description of Petersons being at the top of the heap.
Could we get a drop going for an equivalent sized Peterson pick set?
