Connecting the dots and reading the tea leaves one assumes this sleeve fits (or may fit) a 13 inch MacBook Pro but is actually designed to fit the thinner MacBook Air? Not a very confidence inspiring pitch--leaves one wondering whether it's going to be to tight or too loose for their particular laptop. Fortunately I carry a 15" MacBook Pro so I'm not tempted one way or the other. Unfortunately the new 16" MacBook Pro (fully maxed) costs $6,500. So, by sticking with my current laptop and not buying this MAKR sleeve and the newer 16" MacBook, I JUST SAVED SIXTY-SIX HUNDRED DOLLARS!!!! Thanks MD and MAKR!

RayFI also have the 15" MacBook Pro. Just checked out the MAKR website (never heard of them before now) and they have a similar case for the 15" using Chromexcel but it's $195 before shipping.

HA--that's exactly why I did't check their site! Not surprised to hear it though, and what with the higher price for the 15" sleeve and lower price and popularity of 13" MacBooks, I can see why MD chose the version they did. I've been using a semi-had plastic Thule Gauntlet case for mine all these years and the first thing I thought of when I saw that nice slab of leather was--great protection for my laptop, but how would I protect all that beautiful leather! My Thule has plenty of nicks and scratches on it, but I can only imagine what a leather cover would look like after all these years--probably bring tears to my eyes!
