Horween makes lot of leathers, why don't you tell us which one it is? Also, I'm assuming this is the price per dozen, but please clarify the quantity as well.

I hoped so but shell cordovan has a glossy shine. The leathers hides that are stacked in the image also shows its not shell.

BenjrminI've got a lot of shell. I'm pretty sure the navy pictured is shell. Shell doesn't have to have a glossy shine. They do make matte versions of it, but it is limited. Though if some are shell and some aren't, they should be different prices. Could be they are posting the wrong pictures though.

Shell cordovan isn't cheap, but this is higher than some other manufacturers.

ChurchillWTo compare quantity per price of horween leather, I can get a horween gustin brief case for 250 USD updated (I bought mine at 235). Whilst this small piece already costs 100 USD.

Hard to believe the manufacturer could not move these at the suggested retail price. Looks just like the one I made at summer camp in 1963.
