frequency.limI do not believe this series is. Only the Red label ones are possibly maybe made in NY. My 'Focus' backpack is made overseas. But is still as substantial material as any other Manhattan Portage bag.

Bah. I haven't heard of Chrome either. It's both rewarding and maddening to talk gear with people because, while it's good to hear new ideas, I'll be spending the next 2 hours looking through Chrome's entire catalog. Thanks for the informative reply.

amazingcaveI own a different bag by them. It's cordura on the exterior and vulcanized or vinylized(?) on the interior. The bag was essentially waterproof in anything but a full on thunderstorm. I highly recommend this brand based on how durable their stuff is. My last bag hasn't had a single thing on it break or fail in anyway. However after 8-10 years it's started to look a bit dowdy from all the use. If I didn't need to look more clean cut at work I'd not be buying a newer one!
