This is such an amazing leather cover. The leather is very supple and soft. The buckle straps are very nice, easy to open, but still very secure when on the studs. I got the gray color and absolutely love the look of it. The quality is superb, obviously made to last. This is a definite must buy in my opinion. The fill it came with seems ok. I have a bunch of journals already so I replaced the fill, but I did test out the paper. All of my fountain pens wrote nicely on it. There was a teeny tiny bit of feathering with one of my medium nib pens, but my two other medium nibs had no feathering. The covers are card stock though, which makes the fill look a bit cheap.

Same as everyone else here, I couldn't be more pleased with the leather. In fact, I bought the gray and then a few drops later came back for the brown! Also (again, same as the others) the paper was 86'd with the quickness and right now I'm using two Midori A5 grid paper refills (affixed together with double sided tape) as a single journal. I'm still on the hunt for my "perfect paper" but for now, that works. As mentioned in one of these Manufactus drops, if there are any concerns about writing on the fasteners, you can always just write on one side and when you reach the end, turn and flip the journal over and write on the other. I've written on both sides with minimal interference from the fasteners, however I like this turn n' flip method and am using that currently.

The leather and everything is great about the cover is great. I use it at my office, and people want to know how to get one. It is ridiculously soft!
The paper I was not as thrilled with. Was expecting the paper to be a bit more "rustic" in nature, which is my own fault for not looking into it. The paper is smoother than I would like, and the book is thicker than I thought. I would consider it just a slight step above printer paper. I'll likely look for other paper to replace what's in there, even though I ordered the additional books.
End result, the leather journal is amazing, but get different paper when it arrives.

Great craftsmanship and it’s so pretty. I get a lot of compliments whenever people see me using it. The paper wasn’t great quality but I keep my leuchtturm or whatever journal I’m using at the time in it. Beautiful.
