Recently acquired from a small batch of leftover government-contracted pens, the Maratac Brass Embassy is part of a limited-edition run of 1,000 pieces. Constructed from brass, it’s made to hold up in any scenario, whether you’re balancing the budget or taking down notes on the job site Read More
This pen of course has the same quality as the others (embassy pens). However, the brass and stainless is a little heavy for a pen - I prefer the aluminum model.
Outstanding pen, very solid and well constructed. Very pleased the cap doesn't screw on. It insures you hang onto it when someone tries to borrow the pen and attempts to forget to return it. The solid design and weight means it could be used as a kubotan type self defense instrument. The solid brass version is gorgeous. Altogether a classy, multi-functional and beautiful tool/pen, what more could a "embassy" employee want?
It's what I expected, maybe even larger than I was anticipating. The only complaint I have is that the cap doesn't screw on when you're writing with it. But it's so substantial, it's unlikely you'll lose it.
Pen sucks. the cap does not fit on the pen to write. What are you supposed to do with the cap, while you use the pen? Very heavy. I would return it if possible. Horrible design, government or not.
