One thing good about primary CR123 is they have a shelf life of around 10 years and they don't leak like alkaline. So practically you can toss it inside your glove box or drawers and use it during emergency.

AkhyarThat's a great point about the CR123, Akhhyar.
This is actually a bigger selling point for me over the universal availability of AAA or AA vs. the CR123.

AkhyarYea I have a CR123 LED light I got in Singapore years ago and I cant remember the last time I changed out its batteries

K.T.NI'm using a lithium AAA for my Maratac as well, so for AA/AAA, you can actually choose between alkaline/lithium depending on your use, best of both worlds!
