HappyHoundsMy guess is that it relates to the case size. The SR-1 is 14.5mm vs the SR-3's 12.9mm. So ideally they would shrink the case size down, but they probably don't want to spend the money on the new tooling. So this allows them to put out another version of the SR-3 at a reasonable cost.
