To celebrate the 120th anniversary of Marbles Knives, the company released the Ideal Stacked Fixed Blade: a 10.4-inch beast with a stacked leather handle that calls back to a simpler time. Great for hunting, skinning, chopping, and a multitude of other hard-use tasks, the knife is made with 6 inches of A2 tool steel with good toughness and high abrasion resistance Read More
The USMC fighting knife was inspired by the Marbles Ideal and made by a half a dozen companies (Camillus, Ontario, etc) during and after the war including the Union Cutlery Co known today as Ka-Bar Knives.
LuckyCYes my Great Uncle gave me his Camillus made knife when I was old enough to respect it & I still have it in my collection leather sheath as well 👌
Nice! Made in the USA and A2. Mike Stewart? I have a 7.5" Marbles Trailmaker in 5160 and Stag; a Blackjack Applegate in A2 with a handle crack at the lanyard tube; and an Effingham Ek. I'd love to build a BRK&T Kephart in 3V (or A2) at one of the Grind-Ins, but haven't been able to make it happen yet. Oh I forgot, also a Pacific Cutlery Fer de Lance(David Steele design).
LuckyCYep, Mike Stewart (Bark River) are making all the current A2 Marbles. A Grind In would be awesome! but being in Oz I will probably never get to one....
The 100th Anniversary Woodcraft Marbles was $190 at DLT Trading. I got it for even less with an additional discount. This is a beautiful piece, but I just might pass.
