Apparently this jacket is only for very tall people. The sleeves are 6-8 inches longer than they should be when taking other measurements for someone who wouldn't even call themselves petite. I'd be shooting for size S, but apparently it's worth to wait until there are some reviews, specifically as regards sleeve length.
keybersI'm a Men's Large and the sleeves might be a little short on me, according to the sizing chart. Do you have a very short ape index? Either way, if that's the case, there's probably some inconsistency in sizing or a poorly-written-up size chart. Massdrop has gotten details wrong when copying from manufacturer sites before.
jalvaniInteresting, learned about the existence of a new metric. Anyways, my ape index is .96. I'm basically 2 inches (for both arms) from being a 1, so a 1-inch length discrepancy could be tolerated and accommodated based on my falling 1 inch short of the Vitruvian ideal, but not 6 inches... I measured another mid-length jacket I own, and for my chest circumference of 36.5-37 (size S) the sleeves are 26 inches. This jacket (or at least its size chart as provided by Massdrop) is 32...
Just a guess, but it looks like the weights for the men's and women's are switched (at least I have yet to see a jacket where the men's wasn't heavier...)
