I got my tent and set it up. The dimensions for the tabs of the footprint don't line up with the tabs on the tent. Is there some secret to fitting them together?

I have the older version of this tent and it’s freaking awesome!!! After 12yrs of hard camping I had to retire it. This tent has gone through 70mph wind/dust storms, snow, rain and desert heat. It is well worth what I paid

Anyone looking for a UL version of this tent should check out the Marmot Tungsten UL. Same or similar footprint, but the 3 person weighs only 4 lbs vs 6 lb 11oz. Different advantages to both models, depending on your intended use. With these Marmot tents, I like that the fly is silpoly vs silnylon. That should mean less sagging and a tighter pitch.

I enrolled to get one of these but couldn't wait until they came around again. Purchased mine thru Amazon and so glad I did. I got the three person version. It is super roomy and built like a tank. I am 63 and use it for car camping so weight isn't an issue. I also use a small cot and there is room to spare inside. The worksmanship is top notch. You will love this tent! Best tent I have ever bought

The design of this tent is very thoughtful for everything but 1 point: There is a bend in the poles that makes it hard to save space in a pack. It's a shame, but not a deal killer for me. For how heavy it is, there is a LOT of livable space inside, and a lot of useful feature packed in, and it is super tough. Good tent, wish the poles could have been designed a bit differently.

tyler256yeah, that's definitely annoying. But I see the argument for it - it does allow it to have that sharp curve near the top (as apposed to the long, gradual arch that you get in straight-pole tents. So the walls can be vertical.

EZ_livingSure, but I'm sure they could have made a corner piece that would have allowed you to pack the straight edges together and the corners together. Instead, the corners are in the middle of the pole section so there is nothing you can do about it. Maybe it would have reduced strength, IDK. But the fact is that it is a good tent with annoying poles.
