Does anyone have any insight on how these fit? I'm 5'11 / 165lbs / slim / 31 inch waist / long walks on the beaches / candle-lit dinners / stargazing / Korean cuisine / etc. I typically buy slim-fit / athletic-fit style pants... I have a set of Columbia rain pants, and like everything I look at from Columbia, they are considered, "Modern-Classic fit." (e.g. they fit me like a flag, and I can fit my entire body into a single leg)
I hate feeling bulky, and I want to be able to move around in these without them feeling like the next wind blast will float me across a river like a flying squirrel... or like Hammer-Pants...

TheBeardedCakeasaurI'm 5'11 + 1/2 and anywhere from 165 lbs to 185 lbs, depending on the season it seems. I originally bought the regular length, medium or large pants online. I can't remember which but they were absolutely huge. Way too long and baggy. They were super loud when I walked in them and I later realized this was because of all the extra fabric rubbing together. I returned them and decided to stop at an REI on my way to a backpacking trip. Turns out, the size that fit me best was the short length mediums. I don't understand the sizing of these pants. To wear the long pants, you'd probably have to be 12 ft tall. Anyway, with your measurements, I would definitely recommend the short mediums. They fit me perfect and I can even snugly and comfortably fit a pair of fleece pajama pants underneath for winter camping. Also, without the extra fabric, they aren't annoyingly loud. Hope this helps.
