What is the thickness on it? Looking for a good picnic knife. Opinel just doesn't cut it for me anymore. But I want something with thin blade not the 3 mm one.

dmitriykThe blade is 3mm thick at spine, and has no flex to it whatsoever.

The craftsmanship on the wood scales looks super shoddy, even in the product pictures. Not sure I'm willing for drop $70 on this knife.

How much was this going for on massdrop and how much else where? Would anyone recommend the Maserin FLY 383 over this Maserin Gourmet? Thanks!

I received the 2 boxwood models I ordered within the time specified. The knives themselves are a very nice size and design, and feel good in the hand. The wood scales and mix-n-match slips I received are less than stellar. The boxwood scales are the look of just an ordinary fine grain, nothing special, blonde hardwood. They are fine sanded, with hard edges, and have no sealing finish whatsoever. If used in the "gourmet" moniker setting, staining is a concern with these. One scale has a knot right at the edge of the spine, with cracks and voids.

Regarding the slips I rec'd, one is as pictured, with the pebble grain texture and contrast stitching, while the other is a black smooth top grain real leather with matched stitching. The slips fit and protect well, for pocket carry.

This is an attractive knife. It would be a good gentlemens carry.
I think Massdrop has had too many good knife drops recently. Everyone is broke. This is a good thing, for us and Massdrop!

namhodI agreed with you, this is a good knife but as you mentioned, everyone is broke because join too many drops. I just joined Victorinox Swiss Army Knife: Huntsman (91mm) where delivery cost to my country is very worth it.
