Very tempted, but a bit worried about the quality of the AUS-8 steel. I trust Maserin for high quality knives, but I have not extensively used AUS-8 so I'm on the fence.

BobrazCan't speak for Maserin's AUS-8, but AUS-8 in general is perfectly serviceable for an EDC knife. Especially for a light duty folder like this, it's rust resistant enough and holds an edge long enough that it should be no concern. $60 though, seems too high for an AUS-8 knife.

BobrazYeah, especially since they sell 8Cr14MoV steel folders, which are essentially the Chinese formulation of this steel for around that price.
