Received mine today. Much smoother this time around than when I originally got the CTRL (which I returned due to it not being black, due to incorrect keycaps, and other issues). Plus, at the time I got the CTRL, the web configurator wasn't available yet. But yeah, this is the only smooth Massdrop purchase I've had in the past two years, so there's a shocker. On the negatives side... I still hate that that stupid red/orange LED blinks constantly as long as the keyboard is connected to my USB hub/monitor if my laptop isn't docked. (If anyone knows of any way to recompile QMK to disable that, please let me know, but unfortunately I'm not a programmer.) Also, I kind of wish I had known that the keyboard doesn't support USB-C to USB-C. Probably wouldn't have been a deal-breaker, but apparently this one won't end up being my 'endgame' keyboard either. On the positives side, I love the high-profile case compared to the regular one. The keyboard feels really high quality. I know early on, there were some concerns about the gap between the keys and the aluminum, but it doesn't bother me. The black is actual black, which is more exciting than it should be. At the time I bought/returned the CTRL, I picked Halo Trues, which I hated. I got Halo Clears this time, which are better than I expected. Still, I'll give it a few weeks but most likely be switching them out for the bag of Healios that have been sitting in my drawer for a few months now waiting for me to own a hotswap board. Also will have to decide which caps I want to use with this. The stock ones aren't awful, but I don't love them either. Probably will go with my Dolch set.

jhoff80The orange indicator LED was created to troubleshoot issues with the USB hub function on the keyboard. It's flashing while your keyboard isn't docked because it's showing the keyboard is getting power, however an USB connection can't be completed. If you plug the keyboard into an unpowered hub, that would take care of this issue (Not the most elegant solution, but a solution nevertheless). Regarding USB C to C. This keyboard does support that. What we've found is people using Thunderbolt 3 or power cables which does not work with this keyboard. This particular cable works very well for the ALT and CTRL keyboards -> https://smile.amazon.com/Anker-Powerline-Probably-Certified-Matebook/dp/B071WNXY1R

jhoff80The Healios on this should be spectacular. Glad you got a good QC'd board. I get the sense that MD is paying more attention to QC.
