The aluminum flashlight is small, light and bright. I carry it on a neck lanyard at night.
The lowest brightness is plenty bright in the house at night. The middle brightness was
somewhat too bright for my darkness adapted eyes. The high brightness did warm up the
head of the flashlight. I only used it for about 10 minutes while I hunted for something I
misplaced. After that, the brightest mode did not seem any brighter than the middle mode.
Today, after I tried the brightest mode for a few seconds, to confirm that it did not look any
brighter than the middle mode, it stopped turning on at all! After a few minutes, I tried the
lowest mode and it turned on, but failed again. Before I wrote a disparaging review, I decide
to try a new battery, to see if that would help. Yes it did! And now the brightest level is again
brighter than the middle level. The old battery measures just below the "green" level and in a few seconds, drifts down into the yellow level. So the little circuit in the tail switch can detect a week
battery and alert the user by not turning on. In conclusion, a very good light.
