Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. The replacement came, and the issue is still persistant, so I am not sure what the issue is I've tried multiple different headsets and the issue is not with the port, and I also tried it with my windows laptop and...

The box is definitely not the retail version and is missing accessories. What the product came with is provided as pictures. It seems like it was tempered with prior to shipping. The inner cardboard lining piece was ripped already. It only came with 1 rubber earphone tip and the carrying case is definitely not Fi-Ba-SS carrying case. HEAVEN V Aging carrying case was thrown inside. You can easily look up what the unbox picture looks like. The first provided picture is what i found on google image. second and third pictures are what I received. It also had some white dust/specs on them upon opening as if someone has tried them on...(seriously?! yuck)
in fact, i found a review describing the content of the box from a audiophile forum:
"PACKAGING: The FADs come in a simple but elegant black rectangular box. Inside the contents are quite skimpy. There is the earphones themselves, 3 sets of silicon tips, a large carrying case, warranty card and 1-page manual. The manual gives nothing except return information (in Japanese). The case is HUGE and fairly well-made. It has three pockets on the inside, large enough to hold the FADs as well as my Ipod Touch. A shiny FINAL AUDIO DESIGN plaque on the front is a nice touch as well. However I usually prefer to keep my touch in my pocket and have already been using a much more compact Philips case to hold my FADs. Overall the packaging gets the job done but is borderline pathetic for such an expensive product. My 530s trove of included accessories certainly put it to shame! The 1-year warranty isn't very impressive for such an expensive product either."
So what's going on? Tampering with customers' product isn't something that should be overlooked. I'm hoping that Massdrop can fix this issue immediately.
