The Linus Tech Tips review on these has just been released on their forums as an unlisted video. Linus' impressions, especially of the HEM 8, seem to be quite different to that one Head-Fi review provided. Anyway, here is the link for anyone interested.

MetaMorphlinus isn't exactly the most experienced with audio gear lol. i haven't looked at either but if you're looking for an "audiophile's view" then headfi reviews might be better suited (though a lot of headfi should be taken with a grain of salt), or if you're looking for your common man's impression, then linus' review might be more suited for you.

JimmyJiaActually his take is the most realist approach, NuForce isn't aiming to sale only for audiophile, they are aiming for a wide market and Linus is a great example of what the regular market is about.

JimmyJiaI agree that Linus' views about audio gear can be a bit generalised, but much of Head-Fi almost goes too far the other way praising silver cables, burn in and 24/192 files. It's usually best to consider all sources and try to find the middle ground.
