I just received my Ti blue with the Nichia LED this afternoon. As stated on the info sheet in the box the light took several minutes to first turn on after installing the battery. When it did turn on it wouldn't hold a steady beam in medium or high. Lots of blinking and flickering. I cleaned the head and tail threads with some isopropyl alcohol and it improved considerably. The head appeared to have been glued on. The head and tail need considerable tightening for the light to cycle properly. Sometimes it's hard to distinguish between medium and high. The tail switch felt gritty at first but is breaking in. The gold clip is pretty sorry though. Mine is rough. I may take a chance and polish it, but I'm afraid the plating is so thin I will polish right through it. The Nichia LED is nice to look at but the beam has some rings around the perimeter. All in all, this light is a marginal value at this price point. If it continues to function properly I'll be able to overlook the cheap looking clip and the ringy beam.
