I get this email from MD less than three hours ago. I hit SEE DROP. And when the page loads, I find out the drop has ended. Is this life in the fast lane? Hey, Jonas. Whatcha' doin' there?

Apparently this flashlight has some serious quality control issues. replacement came in with the same issue. Use different new AAA battery(from NiMH , li-on, ) and it wont turn on. At first i thought i just leave the battery(NEW BATTERY) inside the flashlight for a few hours and hopefully it will turn on, unfortunately it won't. Not sure why they keep sending busted flashlight without testing it themselves...

Not bad AAA light! The clip is not impressive. I like it though and the threads are smooth. The machined texture and titanium make it very grippy. The blue anodization is not consistent throughout the entire body of the light. Still it looks and feels very nice. I have already found the light turned on in my pocket so I’m being more careful carrying this light. I believe this is made by Lumintop for Massdrop.

I just received my blue titanium flashlight and it does not work. I have used 2 different brand new AAA batteries, both directions and waited a few minutes as directions indicate, but still get no light. Any suggestions?

Mine was working fine for the first 2 days after I received it. I contacted customer service and they sent out a new unit. About a week later I received it and so far it's been fine. If your light still doesn't work, try contacting massdrop customer service. Good luck.

can someone with all the different material (brass, copper, TI, Al) comment on the different lengths? The discriptions are all the same but the designs seem a little different.

Did you ever get an answer? My aluminum version of this light does the same thing; the medium and high modes appear to be the same level of brightness. I still like the light and EDC it daily, just not sure if I'm missing out on a mode. My copper Maratac Rev-5 AAA light has three distinct brightness levels...

I love this flashlight but have a recommendation to make it better. It needs some kind of switch that prevents it from accidentally turned on. I burn through batteries because it’s switch is so sensitive. This is an EDC for me and I’m constantly hitting the power button without realizing it.

Just curious if anyone has been able to get a SS belt clip onto this blue flashlight or if one is available for purchase somewhere. I just don't like the gold on blue....SS would look so much better to me. Really like this otherwise.

I have the Brass version of this light. After a few months the clip is almost all silver. It appears to be stainless with a coating. You may be able to remove it with some steel wool.

I question whether it's the switch that failed, since I've swapped tails with other lumintops and only the custom ti in this drop has a problem. There really should be a recall, or an exchange program that extends past the usual warranty period.

Updated 11/8 Hi Everyone, I have a quick update on the Massdrop Blue Titanium AAA Flashlights. The flashlights are currently on their way to our warehouse in New Jersey. Once they arrive they will go through quality control checks, and will be prepared for shipment shortly after. We are on track to meet our estimated ship date of November 20. We're looking forward to everyone receiving the blue titanium flashlight!

Updated 10/25 Hi Everyone, We’re excited to announce the Massdrop Blue Titanium AAA Flashlight is entering the final stages of production! The flashlight has gone through some pretty extensive testing, including sitting in a pot of boiling water (while still shining!).

Since I mentioned 21 weeks ago that I'd gotten no response from MD, I am truly not surprised to tell you that has not changed. Though the light is still working after taking it apart and doing absolutely nothing other than putting it back together.

I have one of the original lumintop time lights, and I had a similar issue, it appears that some oxidation on the contact surfaces can occur. I'm not sure how that happens seeing as mine is not anodized, and the threads are all raw, but cleaning the contact surfaces in the switch and on the light body, and applying a light bit of silicone grease has lept my light working for close to two years now. Don't forget there are threads at the head that should be cleaned and lubed too.

I've had this thing for a few months now, and most of the anodization has worn off on the parts that come in contact with anything.. and today it won't turn on. I've tried 2 different AAA's. All it does is make a very quick burst of light when you hit the button, it maybe lasts .25 seconds. I've left the batteries in for more than an hour a piece... not sure if it's a goner or not. Anyone got any ideas for me?

The click switch is L - M - H... But I noticed after a time of being it resets to starting on L. Perhaps everyone knew that. I didn't but I like the feature.
Anyone know how long the 'reset period' is?

Has anyone else had trouble with the switch? After about 6-7 months of almost no usage the switch no longer works. The light will turn on, but hitting the switch has no effect whatsoever.

You don’t have to throw it out. I have one of the original ones without anodizing in titanium and m-l-h sequence. I like the sequence and have found that I can take the tail switch from one of my blue lights and it works. However, I am trying to get a replacement tail switch from the manufacturer or anyone else I can find it from.

If you in luck to get the tail end cap switch that works on the brass AAA give me a link. Like to buy 2 spares. Wish you luck. Tried Massdrop & Lumintop directly for help, no luck. If you in the US try Surefire Titan Ultra Compact or Voidhawk for similar flashlights.
