I've had mine for about a month, and its functioned quite well, i love using it on high and it ate through batteries, so I put a rechargeable battery in it and noticed no performance issues, with about a month of moderate-heavy use, it has developed a dark patina and the very thin gold plating on the clip has worn off. However, the silvery metal underneath actually better matches the patina, so I'm fine with it. The lanyard hole is absolutely tiny probably 1/16 of an inch. I've dropped it several times and the worst it's fared is a very small dent near the tail switch. overall a good light at a reasonable price.
