Got mine today, but looks like I got a defective one. As soon as I screwed down the cap, the light came on...and stayed on. Clicking the switch has no effect. I left it on for about 15 minutes to see if it somehow had anything to do with the capacitor charging , but no dice. One of my first drops, so not impressive...but stuff happens. Submitted a support request, and it sounds like Massdrop support is pretty good, so not overly worried. In any case, it's by far the classiest looking, clip on, AAA battery carrying case I own :)

Hope mine works out. What exactly is the warranty on these lights from the Mfg or Massdrop?

I think it's just 30 day return, since there's no warranty listed. Personally, I don't give much value to warranties on items in this price range, because it usually isn't worth the hassle and by the time you pay for shipping, and whatever other warranty fee they come up with, it's just easier to get a different product somewhere else and never buy that brand again. I would bet that in practice, warranties on things like this have an even lower usage rate than rebates do. I know that's not everyone's thinking, but I just don't put much stock in warranties on low-value items and treat them more as a marketing gimmick. That said, I definitely expect anything I buy to work right on day 1.

Following up on my previous post - Massdrop support was great and I am now in possession of my replacement light. This one worked correctly out of the box, and I'm liking it. I've relied on Streamlight flashlights of all sizes for 20+ years, often in critical use cases, and have nothing but good things to say about them. However, now that I work at a desk and have less critical use scenarios, this will be a classy, office-appropriate addition to my work bag.
