Love this thing. I keep it on my keychain and it is great for having a convenient, focused beam. In that respect it fills a different role than a phone flashlight and is handy to have around on projects where I need a light in a place where my phone is inconvenient. Can't easily put my phone in my mouth, and walking in the dark using a phone as a flashlight is harder and is a waste of battery IMO.
If you want a small, separate flashlight thats easy to carry around and good for 90% of scenarios, this is it. And the brass ages beautifully.
Also, as others have said, the lowest setting is what I use most. Walking in the dark with a high beam is great, but getting ready in the morning in the dark, and most other common situations better suit the low setting.
