Fellas,
I'm new to flashlights. I've carried knives every day for many year, and some of my buddies carry a small flashlight as well. I decided to get in on this drop, it seems like a decent design and size and the copper is interesting. Here's my question:
Can I use a lithium battery in this, or will the battery put too much power to the electronics in the flashlight? Thanks

NafeYou can use a primary lithium with the standard 1.5v power or rechargeable Ni-HM (1.2v). However any Li-ion with a voltage greater than 1.5v such as a 10440 running at 3.6v-4.2v will not work.
There are some custom lights built off the lumintop bodies such as ToolVN which can take 10440 as a standard battery however they will cost significantly more than the original Tool Cu/Ti. There are also several budget-friendly small lights on the market such as the Fenix LD09 that can take a 14500 (AA size) rechargeable Li-ion.

FadenBTW, 3.7V Li-ion 10440 batteries are working in these lights for me (Brass, Copper, Blue Ti). Higher output than the standard lumin specs, but doesn’t last as long as Alkaline or Rechargable Ni–MH.
