Really only bought this because it was copper to go along with all my other copper stuff. I just love the way it looks, especially after it has developed a good patina. So I didn’t have very high expectations as far as performance. And I did have some trouble getting it to turn on initially. The instructions that came with it said that upon first installing the battery and turning it on, that it would not come on instantly for the capacitor had to have time to warm up, which could take several minutes. Well, of course I read that after I had already put the battery in and tried turning it on. So I spent the rest of the night just clicking once, and then waiting, over and over and it never worked. Although it did get rather warm at one point so I knew something was happening. Ha. So I had decided it was a dud and was gonna return it the next morning, but decided to just try a fresh battery and by god it worked perfectly fine then, and has since. It is surprisingly bright and I like the “silent” tail switch. Overall, I would definitely recommend this flashlight. Sorry for the very lengthy review. Cheers!
