I got my example of this product through the Loot Box, so I wasn't able to review it in that section. Recently took possession of the unit, so I can't give you the most nuanced review, but here are some observations: 1) It came in perfect condition, everything in the box, everything functional. The Electroharmonix tube slotted in and lit up without issue. The device was recognized by Windows 10 quickly, and installed without issue. 2) I ran the device in for the first day and a half with some Hifiman Sundaras, which it powers easily. With most sources, less than 50% power was louder than necessary. No vagueness or lack of precision presented themselves. The amp doesn't appear to be much of a "tone control with gain" as some tubes might be (which is expected with a solid state power section). Switching over to my Fostex T60RPs, they seemed to have a good measure of authority on that set, with a bit more bass slam than my outgoing DAC/Amp (an Apogee Groove). In general, the touch points seem nice, I like the look, and the amp allows the headphones to sound like themselves. I have no complaints to lodge. It's possible that a different tube would change the presentation, but I have no great urge to tube roll at this time. I've tried both electronic and acoustic music of varying bit rates, and found it to be neither fussy not overly euphonic thus far. For my current stable of 'phones and my ability to perceive, this should be sufficient to my purposes.
