I won't buy another MD product that doesn't use QMK. I can't get the inhouse programs to run to reconfigure my KD. I only wanted to because the more than one alpha stopped working. I checked the switch, and it's fine. No idea why it just stopped working, and now it's a pain in the A$$ to reprogram because thy didn't go with the industry standards. Honestly the board itself is ok, I don't like the top plate also being the case, and some of the slots for switches are more lose than others. The product checks a lot of boxes, but just to check them, they are not very well done IMO. I would have passed knowing what I know now.

Johnny831> I won't buy another MD product that doesn't use QMK.  Ehm, are there different generations of CTRL keyboards? Because https://www.massdrop.com/buy/massdrop-ctrl-mechanical-keyboard#specs clearly says "QMK firmware" and https://www.massdrop.com/mechanical-keyboards/configurator says "Powered by QMK firmware" and "Configurations are compiled using QMK Firmware." So I'm confused to see a review stating that the keyboard doesn't use QMK. > I don't like the top plate also being the case There also exists a high-profile variant of the CTRL keyboard: https://www.massdrop.com/buy/massdrop-ctrl-high-profile-mechanical-keyboard (also clearly stating "Fully Programmable Via QMK")
