I bought this last spring. I have used it a fair amount since then and I really, really, really like it. A quilt is so much more comfortable than a regular mummy bag. There is no going back ha. I have used my sisters Marmot 20 degree 800 fill down bag on a couple occasions, and I like this quilt more.
I have the 750 Fill down version of this quilt, it is very comparable in warmth to the Marmot (might be warmer), it is lighter and packs smaller.
Potential Buyers here are a few cons and likes
Cons - You will need to wear a hat on cold nights since there is no built in hood (or buy it bigger so there is room to tuck your head.) - Your body will be exposed to your sleeping mat. Not everyone likes this. Doesn't bother me in any way though. - The foot box draw string is not great, I had to tie mine in a knot to keep it from opening back up on me when I moved, or just getting into the quilt. - The draw string for the shoulders is right in the middle of the quilt, so the draw string will be dangling in your face when pulled, they really need to move it to one of the sides and to the inside of the quilt. It tends to slip a bit as well with movement.
Likes - Really warm (have only spent a 30 degree night in it, but I have no doubts it can handle 20) - Nice feel to the skin - Not restricted like a sleeping bag, easy to move in - Water resistant quilt material works great. I stayed dry during an all night rain in a bivy sack that was saturated with rain and condensation. Water was on the quilt, but it beaded and did not soak into the quilt at all. I was pretty worried this night, but I stayed dry and warm. - So light, it is almost unbelievable - Packs really small, the stuff sack provided is way too big - Price is a steal
Despite a few cons, it really is a great quilt. I can live with all of those for this price.
It keeps me warm, which is the most important thing to me.
No regrets at all, it was a great buy.
