I've been wearing (abusing would be more appropriate) them for over 2 years. I use them mainly at the gym and for running. They have not stretched a bit. I would recommend you buy them.

Inside out, cold water. Tumble dry low. May need a little extra time to dry compared to thinner socks.

Honestly I've been pretty abusive to mine and noticed minimal pilling. Generally machine wash cold with standard liquid detergent and med or high heat

Honestly, I don’t think you need to greet these socks all that carefully. I accidentally ordered a size to big and thus tried to deliberately shrink them. No luck!
