I sold these long ago.. Based on memory, despite having more than ample amplification for them (at the time, El Amp by JDS Labs and Magni 2 Uber), the most murky sounding headphones I've ever listened to. In my opinion, not worth buying if you're not going to shell out an additional 100+ USD to have them modified, which I wasn't willing to do. Instead, the money I got from selling them, I used to buy the HE-4XX, which turned out being a much better investment.
If it weren't for the modification potential, I'd give the T-X0 just one star. .. stock, it's just not a sound signature I liked--it lacked clarity, the bass was flabby, the midrange was super recessed , especially in the upper-range, making instruments and vocals sound distant. Overall, a very dull experience.
As for build quality--pretty good, except for the sliding mechanisms on the ear-cups, which were a bit loose.
