jgp1212Hi jgp, could you please help confirm if hair lined metallic strips are adhered on the side of the cups (should be 4 pcs); I can kind of see it from your first photo, but I just wanted to be sure. Just joined the drop and sending it to Modhouse soon. Adding the strips makes it more expensive looking.

jgp1212Do you think going balanced is worth the $35? Does balanced sound better and is the cable connection better? I've read complaints about the stock locking mechanism not offering a secure signal.

CycloneT50s are power hungry to begin with.
Balanced amplifiers usually give you several more decibels compared to non balanced sections.
You can always run the normal stock TRS cable with this is you want.
I don't know of anyone else really providing this service, also I personally wouldn't be game enough to do it myself, in fear of ruining the modification.
Also having it modified afterward, by modhouse, would take significant lead times.
I haven't had any issues with cabling, but I imagine your options are now broadened for cables a bit.

jgp1212So the balanced modification must be performed inside the headphone first before using the balanced cable is it correct or this headphone has already been originally modified for massdrop? Also is this version the MK2 or MK3? Thanks.

jgp1212Thanks. So if I fund a pair of mk3 that accept the balanced connector it has been modified by the previous owner? Is there any version that accepts balanced like the mk3n or only the T60rp?

jgp1212I have a Topping DX7s with balanced 4 pin XLR imput. Will you be able please to provide me with a link of cables and adapters I will need to hook a modified balanced TP50 to my Topping female 4 pin XLR? I like your cables. I checked Alienexpress and looks like they only have the female adapter and not the male? Where can I find the balanced cable that goes into the modified headphone? Thank you jsp1212!

HIFI778Go with copper, any difference will probably be so small, that it's probably not worth the difference in cost.

jgp1212hi just want to check with you; may i know what pads are you using?
just got mine from Argon as well and using the original tX0 pads and feel that the high is a big elevated. maybe the pads are a bit too far from ears.
