We've recently been notified by our vendor of another slight delay. This time the delivery date to our warehouse has been pushed out from 11/24 to 12/2, but the delay isn't due to them hitting any sort of road blocks. They are just being extremely cautious with this order. Both Massdrop and Fostex are doing everything in their power to prevent quality issues.
We will keep the group updated throughout the fulfillment process. You can expect an update from us by the end of the day Pacific Time on 11/25.
If you have any questions, please visit our Help Center (massdrop.com/helpcenter).

So there's a chance I might not even get these this year?

@ArthurM : If the headphones are delivered to your warehouse on 12/2, by when can we expect them to be shipped to our home address? Will they shipped on the same day or will there be an additional round of QC testing at your warehouse?

If I missed my deadline 3 times at work I'd probably be fired. You guys are just so terrible at keeping your word and getting things shipped on time. Not to mention all this "quality control" you supposedly spend time on isn't worth the wait; last thing my friend ordered from MD took 3 months to arrive and turned out to be the wrong item. If this was any other service people would be demanding compensation.

Be more considerate c-los. I am in complete agreement with you that this delay is not a pleasant experience but at least they have taken the issues with the Purplehearts seriously. I don't think that berating them for attempting them to deliver the headphones which are not defective will speed things up.
Of course, if you think that the wait is not worth it, then you should ask for a refund. And I hope Massdrop obliges your request.

Just checking this drop because I was on the purplehearts and was really disappointed with the QC/finishing. The wood cips and the frame itself had issues and is unacceptable to me for 450. I have asked for a refund and went with the recent emu teaks hoping that there won't be finish issues. Believe me when I say its better that they get the QC/finish right.
Not sure if anyone here has heard of LH Labs, but these guys are delayed by YEARS.

LH Labs Geekwave is a joke - more than 2 years delayed and it would be lucky to have a finished product by the end of 2017!

Hehe I was on the Geek Pulse in 2013. They're still not finished delivering to backers due to QC problems etc. Again that's back in 2013! It's almost 2017 now.

I just checked out their website and indiegogo page - from the way they are describing it, one could be mistaken for thinking that they are making a spacecraft to travel to pluto or something! And the poor backers - they're going "goo goo ga ga" like 2 year olds over candy over the recently released UI. Jeez, just put an Android skin or Rockbox on it and call it a day! smh..
Just asking, did you ever get the geek pulse? Does it hold up to it's claim of being the DAC/Amp that ends all DAC/Amps?

I did receive the geek pulse infinity but it faulty from day 1. Needless to say I'm done with them. The lack of testing/QC is ridiculous.
Regarding the sound, it sounds good to me when driving my HD650 but since I don't have significantly better equipment to compare I can't say it's the end all of headamp/DACs. I compared to my buddy's Audiolab M-DAC and we both couldn't tell a difference except for the Pulse having more juice.
