Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. The replacement came, and the issue is still persistant, so I am not sure what the issue is I've tried multiple different headsets and the issue is not with the port, and I also tried it with my windows laptop and...

They look incredible but if they are V-Shaped then they are not for me. I really like mids!
Against..
Fidelio X2: Ebony has smaller sounds stage, less sibilant, more V shaped. It has more and better controlled bass. Clarity is better on Ebony. Hifiman Edition X: Hifiman beats Ebony in everything except bass quantity. Ebony has more sparkle in highs tho. Denon 2000: Ebony has more mid bass kick, better mids, better sound overall but to be fair my denons are probably around 5 years old so take this with a grain of salt. HE-400i: Ebony has better soundstage (I know some people wont agree with this but that's what i hear) Ebony has more bass. Clarity is better on HE-400i and it's relatively more neutral and I like HE-400i tonality a bit better. But soundstage and instrument seperation is better on Ebony. K7XX: Ebony sound stage is smaller, Ebony has more bass. Ebony is more lively sounding. When I did A/B K7XX sounded dull compared to Ebony.
These have a lot more bass, and cleaner treble. they both overpower the mids (which keep the detail, just quieter) in most situations, though not in an entirely unpleasant way.
edit: I think its the soundstage, the mids get overpowered as they sound a lot further away than the rest.
