What is a bio-cellulose driver?

Bio Cellulose was introduced in the late 80's by Sony, as a material in their drivers, it is very similar to paper but created by a bacteria, and it could be very very thin, with a very particular sound; and was the major success behind the world known MDR-CD3000 and MDR-R10, which may have really been the Holy Grail, at least as far as dynamic headphones go, which was at the time around 4K and for a headphone a very high price, and probably the best sounding dynamic headphone at the time. 30 years later was still very desirable and chased by audiophiles all over the world. The Fostex are very close in presentation and sound to what the R10 was able to, if not better...I have all three of them, and have heard multiple times the R-10 and I do not miss a single bit with them.

Warmer and more balanced, TH900 sounds a little brighter for some ears...
